Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
This statement sets out Home Discount Ltd.’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains. This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
As a leading supplier of flat-packed furniture and home goods across the UK and Europe, we recognise that we have a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking. Home Discount Ltd is fully committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.
Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
This statement covers the activities of Home Discount Ltd:
· Home Discount Ltd is a family-owned business supplying flat-packed furniture and home goods to corporate and independent retailers.
· Products are sourced directly from manufacturers worldwide, with offices and staff based in the UK, Far East, and South America.
Countries of Operation and Supply
We currently operate in the following countries:
· United Kingdon – head office, warehouse, and distribution operations.
· China – sourcing office to support procurement of furniture and textiles.
· South America – liaison office for sourcing and production oversight.
Assessment of High-Risk Activities
· United Kingdom – working with verified recruitment agencies to ensure legal employment practices.
· China, South America – suppliers must agree to and sign Home Discount Ltd.’s Vendor Compliance Document, which includes our Ethical Trading Policy, before any purchase orders are placed.

· Suppliers must provide safe workplaces, health and safety training, and access to sanitary facilities.
4. No Child Labour
· No new recruitment of child labour. Compliance with ILO standards is required.
5. Living Wages
· Wages meet or exceed national legal standards or industry benchmarks.
6. Reasonable Working Hours
· Comply with local laws and international labour standards; overtime is voluntary and fairly compensated.

· No physical, verbal, sexual, or psychological abuse, harassment, or intimidation.
High-Risk Activities
· Indirect labour through contractors and subcontractors, particularly where agencies are not independently audited.
· Suppliers in regions with less robust labour oversight, who may require additional due diligence.
Responsibility and Governance
Oversight of our anti-slavery initiatives is the responsibility of our senior leadership team.
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We continuously assess modern slavery risks through:
· Supplier onboarding and reviews – new and existing suppliers are evaluated for ethical compliance.
· Supply chain mapping and profiling – identifying countries, product types, and supplier profiles with elevated risks.
· Audits and corrective actions – high-risk suppliers may undergo third-party audits or targeted assessments. Non-compliance is addressed through corrective plans or, where necessary, termination of the business relationship.
Policies and Procedures
· Employee Code of Conduct – sets expectations for ethical behaviour by all employees.
· Supplier Code of Conduct – require suppliers to maintain safe, fair, and legal working conditions, monitored through audits, self-assessments, and performance reviews.
· Recruitment and Agency Workers – only reputable, vetted agencies are used to source labour in compliance with UK employment laws.
Training
All staff complete modern slavery training, covering:
· Identifying risks and signs of slavery or human trafficking
· Escalation and reporting procedures within the business
· Guidance for suppliers and contractors to implement anti-slavery practices.
· Understanding how purchasing decisions can influence supply chain conditions.
Performance Indicators
· Completion of modern slavery training by all staff by 31 December 2025
· All suppliers must acknowledge and comply with the Vendor Compliance Document
· Ongoing review of existing suppliers to ensure compliance with ethical standards, targeted for completion by 31 December 2025.

This statement was approved by the board of directors of Home Discount Ltd on 24 November 2025 and will be reviewed and updated annually.
